Making Children’s Dental Appointments Stress-Free
Bringing your child in every six months for their regular checkups and cleanings can be stressful, especially if the dentist who’s caring for them isn’t being intentional about providing them with a comfortable and welcoming space. At Hamilton Pediatric Dental Care, you won’t have to worry about that! Our team is incredibly passionate about what we do, and we’re always looking for different ways to make your child’s visit stress-free for you and them. Below, we’ve outlined what you can expect at their appointment so you can feel prepared.
Your Child’s First Visit
At your child’s first appointment, our main goal is to help them get comfortable with our team and our dental office. That way, they aren’t scared to come back. Our dentists always take appointments slow, taking care to answer any questions your little one has and helping them get familiar with the checkup and cleaning process. If they feel comfortable enough to let us polish their teeth at this first appointment, we will. If not, we can always schedule it for another time so we don’t push them outside of their comfort zone and create negative memories.
New Patient Forms
If you’re bringing your child in for their first appointment with us, we ask that you please fill out our new patient forms online before coming in. This will make your initial visit easier since you won’t have to worry about filling them out in our waiting area.

Dental Insurance Welcome
At Hamilton Pediatric Dental Care, we accept all insurance for patients 17 years old and under with no limitations. Our team is happy to help you get the most out of your insurance plan and help you save from out-of-pocket costs.
Healthy Smiles Ontario
If your child is covered under Healthy Smiles Ontario, they’re more than welcome to come to our dental office! We follow their fee guide and are happy to help you get the most out of your plan, all while keeping your little one’s oral health on the right track. Typically, Healthy Smiles Ontario covers routine preventive and emergency dental treatments as well as essential procedures to eligible children and youth.
